News Photos, on the Move, Make News
In the middle of December two trailer trucks left New York City bound for Austin, Tex., packed with a precious and unusual cargo: the entire collection of pictures amassed over more than half a century by the Magnum photo cooperative, whose members have been among the world’s most distinguished [...]

Last December, I got to spend about a week shadowing two talented young musicians for a story by John Marchese in the Feb. 2010 issue of Philadelphia Magazine. Becky Anderson and Ben Beilman were gracious enough to let me tag along during long rehearsals and performances. Keep an eye out for these two. Amazing.

NY Times Opinion Video on Photo Retouching
The NY Times has a decent read today by Steven Erlanger about a French lawmaker, Valérie Boyer, who has:

Unfortunately, my Hasselblad is on bed rest right now after a frightful accident and it couldn’t come off the bench in time for this election cycle, so I’m testing a new digital technique [...]

Tracking down my PECO ad on bus shelters in the hinterlands of suburban Philadelphia was a really difficult endeavor. Shooting a picture of the shelter ad was hazardous, involving a frogger-esque event of running across four lanes of traffic and standing in the road to get a decent angle, but alas, I finally have proof [...]

Just wanted to post a link to another recent cover I photographed. This time for a client in Abu Dhabi, “M” Magazine, which is the Saturday magazine for The National newspaper. Big ups to my friend Kerri Abrams for helping me secure the gig.

It was a fun assignment, not only because of the great locations, but becuase Girlfriend Getaways (and parent mag Budget [...]
