Sometimes it’s important to get away from all the backend duties of running a photo business (the bookkeeping, the marketing, the post-production on already-shot jobs). And one of my favorite activites to help with that is walking my dog Hank. It allows me to drop everything, listen to some music and just enjoy a city in which I love living. It’s also an opportunity to exercise my eye. Something that a photographer needs to do sometimes. Reconnect with the activity of just making pictures for the sake of making pictures.
Yesterday, I decided to take an hour-long walk with the dog and post the images I made in that time to the blog. It was a mini-assignment, you could say. An exercise of the mind.
