Washington, DC-based editorial, portrait and corporate photographer Ryan Donnell's career started at the age of 14, when he was selected as the youngest ever Photo Editor of the Kirkwood High School Call newspaper. He went on to study at the Missouri School of Journalism and had a brief stint at The Dallas Morning News, where he worked alongside some photographers and editors of whom you might actually know.
After being made redundant in his mid-20s (early-adopter) he began a freelance business out of shear necessity and an abundance of ignorance. He then married up, was blessed with two lovely children and has moved cities too many times. He spends much of his free-time trying to repair his old home (and then repairing the repairs), going to the gym and occasionally "playing" squash.
Ryan has the capability and Rolodex to facilitate a range of productions from small-scale corporate and non-profit shoots to large-crew advertising campaigns — with extensive experience traveling to hard-to-reach locations.
